Asthma & COPD Research Study

Do you have Asthma or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)?
You may be eligible to take part in a clinical research study focused on improving treatments for chronic lung conditions.

What are Asthma and COPD?
Asthma affects millions of Canadians, and many people struggle to keep their symptoms under control. COPD, which includes conditions such as chronic bronchitis and emphysema, also affects a large number of people — many of whom remain undiagnosed.

Both conditions make it harder to breathe because the airways become narrowed or inflamed. Common symptoms include:

  • Persistent cough

  • Wheezing or chest tightness

  • Shortness of breath, especially during activity

Why Participate in a Research Study?
Medications play an important role in managing symptoms and improving quality of life for people with lung diseases. Clinical research studies help test new and improved treatments that could make breathing easier for people in the future.

By joining a study, you’ll be contributing to important medical research while receiving study-related assessments and care at no cost.
